MARANGU ROUTES
(7 Days 6 Nights)
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa Continent and the highest free standing mountain in the world at 5895 meters (19,341ft) above sea level and about 4,900 meters above its plateau base. Mount Kilimanjaro also gives the best challenge in terms of High Altitude Sicknesses and we will experience many symptoms from mild AMS to severe HAPE. We use Mount Kilimanjaro High Altitude Training to see how people react to High Altitude Sicknesses and we provide solutions for them before they take big mountaineering challenges above 8000 meters including climbing Mount Everest.
The Marangu route is one of the most popular routes to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro due to the short days and exposure to AMS. Due to the logistic requirement and stay in the hut, among all the routes, Marangu is the least expensive and easy to organise route. We select the route with 5 days or 6 days to complete our training. After the hard work climbing Kilimanjaro and going through the High Altitude Training, we can reward ourselves with 3 days Wild Safari at Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater.
