Malaysia - ASEAN Kinabalu Climb 2024 is the 13th program since 2010 to promote Mount Kinabalu as the best destination for High Altitude Training Centre among the ASEAN mountaineering communities and outdoor lovers. Mount Kinabalu stands majestically at 4,095m (13,435 feet above sea level) and Mount Kinabalu derives its name from the Kadazanword, ‘Aki Nabalu’, meaning ‘the revered place of the dead’. It is one of the safest and most conquerable peaks in the world - provided that you are reasonably healthy and physically fit.








Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kota Kinabalu and Kinabalu National Park
• Arrival in Kota Kinabalu latest by 11:00 a.m. The team will gather at KKIA Airport waiting for Group Transport.
• Group Transfer from airport to Kinabalu National Park. Special arrangements can be made for different arrival.
• Meal: Breakfast & lunch - Own arrangement. Dinner at Balsam Café - Kinabalu National Park.
• AMS talk by Mr Ravichandaran. Overnight at the Kinabalu National Park / Other resort.
Day 2: Climbing Day
• Subuh prayers at 5.00 a.m.
• Gathering (Briefing, including prayer recitation before starting the climb).
• Kinabalu National Park - Climbing to Laban Rata (3200 meter).
• Meals: Breakfast & packed lunch at Balsam Café - Kinabalu National Park (Remember to collect your packed lunch at Balsam Café). Supper & Dinner at Laban Rata.
Day 3: Summit Day
• Summit push (4048 meter)
• Descend to Kinabalu National Park.
• After lunch return to Kota Kinabalu & check in hotel.
• Meal: Early supper & breakfast at Laban Rata Restaurant and lunch at Balsam Café (upto 4pm) at Kinabalu Park. Dinner - Own arrangement.
Day 4: Departure home
• Climbers will join Buffet Breakfast at ShangriLa Bandaran Hotel.
• Free & easy.
Includes
1. Training provided for 3 months or upon sign up (Physical & Online Training).
2. High Altitude Training Program (AMS) certificate provided.
3. 1 night accommodation in Kinabalu Park / Kundasan (Day 1).
4. 1 night stay at Laban Rata / Kinotoki / Mokodu / Lemaing Hut (Day 2).
5. 1 night stay in ShangriLa Bandaran Hotel (3 star) in Kota Kinabalu (Day 3).
6. Meals: 3 breakfast / 2 lunch / 2 dinner / 1 supper.
7. Transportation (Group):
Day 1 - Airport to Kinabalu National Park. Day 3 - Kinabalu National Park to ShangriLa Bandaran Hotel (3 star).
8. Entrance fees at Kinabalu National Park.
9. Transportation (group) inside Kinabalu National Park.
10. Climbing insurance / mountain guide / climbing permit & certificate.
