Mount Kailash is a sacred Tibetan Himalayas peak 6,638 meters (21,778 feet) above the sea level. It is considered the abode of Lord Shiva in Hinduism, while Buddhists believe it is the "Center of the Universe". The mountain is a popular destination for pilgrims who circumambulate it as a Spiritual ritual, a trek known as the Kailash Kora. As climbing is considered sinful, it remains unconquered. The peak is renowned for its stunning beauty and spiritual aura, attracting Devotees and adventurers a like.

Lake Manasarovar, situated near Mount Kailash, is one of the highest Fresh water in the world. It is revered in Hinduism as the "Lake of Consciousness" and is believed to Cleanse the sins of those who bathe in its waters. Buddhists regard it as a place of purity and spiritual significance. The lake's crystal-clear water and serene surroundings make it a place for Reflection and devotion. Pilgrims often visit both Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar on a journey of Spiritual enlightenment and purification.

Itinerary

Day 1 - 7th July - Arrival in Kathmandu 1300 M. Overnight at Hotel

Welcome to Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu. Our Representative will greet you and escort you to the hotel for check-in and overnight accommodation.

Day 2 - 8th July - Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.

Full-day sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, and Jal Narayan Temple and back to hotel and lunch. After tea, briefing about Kailash Manasarovar Tour plan and preparation.

Day 3 - 09th/July 2026 - Drive to Timure / Ghatte Khola.

Early in the morning, we will be setting off for Timure / Ghatte Khola via Syabrubesi, a small town, which borders Kyirong county of Tibet/ China, situated about 170 km north of Kathmandu. This fascinating country drive takes Approximately 8 hours to reach Timure. Some 170 km part of the highway is very slender; so, it can be risky to drive fast. Lunch will be served on the way & overnight stay in a guesthouse/ hotel at Timure.

Day 4 - 10th July 2026 - Drive From Valley Timber / Ghatte Khola to Kyirong

Early morning after breakfast, we will cross the Friendship Bridge, go through the immigration formalities, and continue driving to Kyirong Valley- The very first Tibetan town. It is a 22 km driving distance from Friendship Bridge to Kyirong Valley. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5 - July 11th: Acclimatization in Kyirong

Today, you will stay in Kyirong for acclimatization purposes. It is advisable to walk around the city to keep your body active. It is also better to do a mild hike during the day and drink lots of water.

Day 6 - July 12th - Drive from Kyirong to Sanga

Drive to Sanga cross 5300mt 220 km/7-8 hours high pass and cross Bramaputra river Drive from Kyirong to Sanga. Sanga is situated on the bank of the River Brahmaputra, which originates from Manasarovar and Holy Kailash. The river flows across Lhasa. Our destination for today is Saga.

Day 7 - July 13th - Drive From Sanga to Manasarovar Lake

Long journey but enjoyable day first view of kailash and lake mansarovar and poisions lake 500km including lake parikrma 10-11 hrs. We will depart from Saga early in the morning to a further destination, Lake Manasarovar. After reaching Horchu (the east coast of Lake Manasarovar), we will change the Bus and start making a circumambulation (parikrama) of this holy Lake on the Bus in a clockwise direction. On the way, we will stay overnight in a suitable place (at the Bank of Lake Manasarovar) for a holy bath & performing pooja & Havana. Evening reach T-su Gompa.

Day 8 - 14th July - Drive From Lake Mansarovar to Darchen

Morning, after having breakfast drive to Darchen which is at a distance of 40km, it is a small town at the foothill of Kailash. Darchen is the gateway to trekking around Mount Kailash. If time permits drive to Astha Parvat and back to Darchen.

Day 9 - 15th July - Drive, To Yama Dwar Then trek to Dirapuk

Today is the First day of Parikrama. After a short drive (8 km) from Darchen, we will reach Tarboche and visit Yam Dwar. Then trek to Dirapuk which is a 15km trek. Yam Dwar is the best vantage point that provides splendid views of the south and west faces of Mount Kailash. This is the best place to have a close view. Those who are not undertaking a circumambulation trip are advised to visit Tarboche. Tarboche is the place where our horse/ yak/s, and porter/ gather and accompany us for the trekking part. Those, who are participating in circumambulation, will move ahead to Deraphuk from this point, and the rest will return to Darchen and

Wait for guests to return from parikrama. The complete trek around Mount Kailash takes 3 days. The distance of the first day’s trek (from Yama Dwara to Deraphuk) is about 10 km. only and it takes 5 to 7 hours. To cover the distance. Deraphuk stands at an elevation of 4920 m. The north face of Mount Kailash is just a few thousand meters away from here. This is the only place to have a close view of the north face.

Day 10 - 16th July - Trek to Shivasthal, Gaurikund (5620 M) Then To Zuthulphuk

Today is the toughest & longest journey of this trip. We will trek almost 22 km through rugged highlands to reach Zutulphuk. We will pack up our gear and set off from the hotel early in the morning. (Chinese local time.) Initially, it is an uphill trek from Deraphuk but after walking for an hour or so, the trail turns into a mild ascend. Half of the trail passes through an elevation of 4900 m./16,000 ft. or above, so one Might feel mild breathlessness or headache. However, we should try to keep our Pace slow & steady. Please do not forget to carry a water bottle, down jacket, raincoat, and some dry fruits & chocolates with you. Everybody has a different pace of walking. People might not be around when you need them. So, you have to be self-dependent on Basic things. After making an uphill trek for about 4 hours or so, we will reach a high pass Where we will find Tibetan prayer flags fluttering. This is called ‘Dolma La passes (5800 m.). This is the highest point that we will be crossing over during this divine Trip. After making a gentle descent from the pass, we will find ourselves near a Tiny glacial lake. This is ‘GauriKund’. From Gaurikunda, the trail leads us rapidly down through an area full of boulders and loose pebbles.

Going down can be more demandig compared to coming up. In case you have to hire a horse, you need to come down off the horse. After Trekking down for another one and a half hours or so from Gauri Kunda, we will eventually reach the valley floor. From this point on, the trail is flat & easy. It is another 2 hours of easy walk to reach Zutulphuk from here.

Day 11 - 17th July - Trek from Zuthulphuk to Trek Ending Point and drive back to Darchen & Continue to drive back to Saga.

The only activity for today is to visit Kailash Parikrama, the last day of this divine circumambulation. After early morning breakfast, we pack up our gear and move On towards Darchen. The entire trail is flat and easy. The trek takes about 3 hours to complete. Our Vehicle will be waiting for us at the final point before Darchen. Trek or by horse to Gyangda Gompa then drive back to Sanga by bus.

Day 12 - 18th - Drive to Kyirong Valley.

Drive back to Kyirong Valley located at 2600m altitude. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 13 - 19th July - Drive back to Kathmandu by bus.

Drive via Trishuli river 170 km/7-9 hrs. After breakfast, we will drive down to the border, complete immigration Formalities, and drive back to Kathmandu. Then will be free & easy for independent activities.

Day 14 - 20th July - Final departure home.

After a successful Kailash Yatra, its time to return home. Unfortunately, it’s also the end of this tour. Group services will end after breakfast. Transfer to the Kathmandu airport.
